Bakersfield, California – A woman was urgently transported to the hospital on Saturday, April 15, 2024, following a serious accident at the intersection of Gosford and South Laurelglen Boulevard, as reported by the Bakersfield Police Department (BPD).
At approximately 10:20 p.m., officers arrived at the scene of the accident to find the woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, with serious injuries.
According to BPD’s preliminary investigation, the driver of a Honda Civic was turning west onto South Laurelglen Boulevard from Gosford Road heading north. Meanwhile, the driver of a BMW X3 was heading south on Gosford Road when the collision occurred.
Despite the severity of the incident, both the driver of the Honda Civic and the BMW X3 remained at the scene. Authorities have stated that alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to have been contributing factors in the accident, according to a press release issued by BPD.
