Baby Hospitalized After Fireworks Accident

San Luis Obispo County, California – A tragic fireworks accident has led a family to seek help for their 11-month-old daughter, Emma, who was severely injured by a stray firework.

The incident occurred on July 4th in Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County. During the Independence Day celebration, a firework veered off course and entered Emma’s car seat.

The sunshade of the seat prevented the firework from escaping, causing severe burns to Emma’s right arm, leg, and cheek.

Emma is currently receiving treatment at the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. The burns have required specialized care and intensive treatment, leading to significant medical expenses for the family.

To cover medical costs, as well as additional expenses for gas and lodging, the family has launched a GoFundMe campaign. They are seeking the community’s support to help cover these unforeseen expenses and ensure the best possible recovery for Emma.

This family’s tragedy is a stark reminder of the dangers that can arise during fireworks celebrations. We hope for Emma’s swift recovery and that she can soon smile again with her family.
