CHP reported that alcohol may have been a factor involving the Toyota driver’s case, pending toxicology results.
Child Safety Seats: A Critical Factor in Serious Crashes
Authorities continue to emphasize that young children must travel in proper child restraint systems.
Under California law:
- Children under certain age and height requirements must use appropriate car seats
- Improper restraint use can significantly increase the risk of severe injury in rear-end or high-speed crashes
Legal Perspective: Multiple Factors Under Investigation
This case may involve shared liability depending on the final investigation findings.
