Fatal Highway 405 Accident Causes Traffic Congestion in Van Nuys [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, California – A tragic chain collision on Monday morning on northbound Highway 405 in Van Nuys has caused traffic chaos. According to the California Highway Patrol report, the fatal accident involving three vehicles occurred around 4:45 a.m. at Sherman Way.

Preliminary reports suggest that the accident might have been caused by a wrong-way driver. However, authorities are now investigating the possibility that one of the vehicles may have skidded after colliding with the center divider.

Despite the efforts of emergency teams, one person lost his life at the scene of the accident and has yet to be identified. Additionally, two more individuals sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The traffic situation worsened with the temporary closure of all northbound lanes. However, the California Highway Patrol took measures to ease the congestion by opening the right shoulder to allow the passage of other drivers.

Lane closures are expected to remain in place for several hours as cleanup and recovery efforts continue.
