The California Highway Patrol is currently searching for the suspected vehicle, described as a dark-colored GMC Sierra 2500, manufactured between 2015 and 2019, with significant front-end damage.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Arella Alonso, a resident of Hemet, was traveling eastbound on Highway 46, east of Holloway Road, at an approximate speed of 60 miles per hour when the suspected vehicle, also traveling eastbound at a “high speed,” collided with Alonso’s Nissan Versa and fled the scene.
