According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred around 5:00 a.m., south of 4th Street, and involved a semi-truck and multiple passenger vehicles.

  • The semi-truck collided with several vehicles on the freeway.
  • One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) evaluated 15 people at the scene.
