A speeding car crashes into a home in San Bernardino, causing severe damage and injuring four. Authorities are investigating the accident’s cause.
A dramatic car accident in San Bernardino occurred early Tuesday morning in the Chino area of San Bernardino County when a speeding car crashed into the second floor of a residence, causing extensive property damage to the structure. Local authorities reported that the incident involved a Mustang that, after breaking through a fence, flew over a riverbed before colliding with the balcony of a home on Medford Court.
The car accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. and was immediately attended by the Chino Police Department and the Chino Valley Fire Department. Four people were in the vehicle and were transported to nearby hospitals, although authorities have not yet disclosed their current health status.
The homeowners were unharmed but remained shaken by the incident, which left a large hole in the second-floor balcony. Andrea, the homeowner, expressed her shock, describing the noise as loud as if a plane had passed over the house, waking them in the middle of the night. “It was devastating,” Andrea stated.
The damaged home has been marked with an “unsafe” sign due to structural property damage. The owners fear that after further evaluation, the house may be tagged with a red warning, indicating severe risk.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact causes of the Mustang driver’s loss of control of the vehicle.
We remind all drivers of the importance of taking extra precautions while driving and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
