Baker, CA – On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at approximately 12:49 pm, a tragic accident occurred on Interstate 15 northbound near the Afton Road exit. Authorities received a report indicating a possible road rage incident followed by a rollover crash, prompting an immediate response from the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
According to reports provided by rescue personnel on the scene, the involved vehicle, a truck believed to be a mid-2000s Chevrolet Silverado or a dark-colored GMC Sierra, overturned upon impact. Tragically, the occupant of the vehicle was ejected and died at the scene of the accident. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Meanwhile, the second occupant of the truck was urgently transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Their current condition is unknown.
