Fresno, California – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a rollover accident that claimed the life of a minor and left several injured.
Around 6 p.m., CHP responded to a call about a rollover crash on southbound Highway 99 near Clovis Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found an overturned Ram 2500 truck, which became the focal point of an ongoing investigation.
Three out of the four occupants of the truck suffered moderate injuries and were urgently transported to a nearby hospital. However, tragedy struck when it was discovered that one of the occupants, a minor, was ejected from the vehicle during the impact and tragically lost their life at the scene of the accident.
CHP investigators are assessing several hypotheses about the causes of this tragic accident. While adverse weather conditions are suspected to have played a crucial role, the influence of drugs or alcohol in the incident is ruled out. Additionally, investigators are looking into whether the occupants were properly wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
This unfortunate rollover accident in Fresno serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining safety behind the wheel at all times. The CHP urges all drivers to exercise caution, respect traffic laws, and always wear seat belts.
Together, we can work to prevent tragedies like this one and ensure the safety of everyone on our roads.
