Stockton Teenager Dies in Tragic Accident in Tracy

Tracy, California – A teenager from Stockton lost his life in a tragic accident on the I-205 freeway, east of El Rancho Road, in Tracy, California. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5th.

Witnesses at the scene described that two vehicles were involved in a dangerous speed competition, weaving through traffic. One of the vehicles, an Acura, attempted to change lanes and clipped a Toyota that was traveling at the legal speed limit.

The impact was so severe that both vehicles veered off the road, rolling down an embankment. The driver of the Acura, a 17-year-old from Stockton, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries that resulted in his death.

The other vehicle involved in the illegal race fled the accident scene. Fortunately, witnesses provided crucial information that enabled investigators to locate the driver and the vehicle. Although the identity of the second driver has not been disclosed, authorities are considering filing charges against them.
