Suspect’s Arraignment Delayed in Murder Case Related to Fatal Famoso Road Crash

The court appearance of William Pederson, who is accused of second-degree murder and other offenses related to an alleged DUI crash, has been postponed until next week. On Thursday, a court commissioner ordered that he remain in jail without bail ahead of his hearing on February 23rd.

The California Highway Patrol released a report that Pederson was driving his Dodge Ram on Highway 65 when he crossed over the double yellow line and crashed into another vehicle, fatally injuring its 53-year-old driver. Miraculously, although the woman perished in the collision, Pederson escaped with only minor injuries.
