On Monday night, a woman tragically lost her life after being struck while walking on Highway 108 east of Odessa Way.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report, the incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Emergency personnel were alerted to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the mentioned location. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services encountered a heartbreaking scene: a woman was lying in the left-turn lane, separating the east and westbound lanes of Highway 108 east of Odessa Way. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The vehicle involved in this tragic Oakdale accident was a Cadillac that was stopped in lane #1, eastbound on Highway 108 east of Odessa Way. According to CHP investigations, the victim was attempting to cross the street from the south side of Highway 108 to the north side when she was struck by the Cadillac, which was traveling in lane #1 eastbound.
