Two Dead in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 70 in Yuba County

Yuba County, CA – A tragic motorcycle accident on Highway 70 late Monday night resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman from Marysville, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred just before 11:30 p.m. near Nobel Road.

CHP reports that a 62-year-old man was riding a motorcycle northbound on Highway 70 with a 63-year-old woman as his passenger. At the same time, a sedan was pulling out of a driveway along the highway and drove directly into the motorcycle’s path.

The motorcycle collided with the sedan, ejecting both riders from the bike. Sadly, both riders were killed in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

Investigators have determined that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the full circumstances of the collision.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims. This heartbreaking motorcycle crash serves as a reminder of the need for caution and attentiveness when sharing the road. We hope the families find comfort during this tough time.
