Two Fresno Women Died in Single-Vehicle Crash in Kern County

Kern County, CA – Two Fresno residents were tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash in Kern County on Saturday afternoon along Interstate 5, just north of the Lebec Service Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The accident occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. when a 2016 Hyundai left the roadway, overturned, and landed on its roof. A 70-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while three other occupants were airlifted to local hospitals. Sadly, one of the injured, a 67-year-old woman, passed away at the hospital.

Two others remain hospitalized as they recover from their injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, and CHP is still investigating whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the crash.
