Two Lives Lost in a Shocking Accident Near Baker

Baker, California – In the early hours of Friday, a shocking accident near Baker, California claimed two lives on northbound Interstate 15, bringing traffic to a standstill with the closure of all lanes.

The tragic incident occurred around 4:09 am on Friday, January 19, 2024, just north of Highway 127, near mile marker 142. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved a white Budget rental truck and an unknown type of vehicle.

The informant who contacted authorities described the scene as chaotic, with debris scattered across the lanes and the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Brave firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, the loss of two lives among the six individuals involved in the accident was confirmed.
