Woman Dies and Man Injured in South of Sacramento Accident

Sacramento, California – A tragic south of Sacramento accident claimed the life of a woman on Sunday, April 7, 2024, also leaving a man severely injured. The collision, involving three vehicles, occurred shortly before 4 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, between Meadowview Road and Laguna Boulevard.

According to California Highway Patrol spokesman in south Sacramento, Officer Mark Leavitt, the cause of the accident is currently under investigation. They are assessing whether any of the drivers were under the influence of substances.
