Victorville, California – A tragic traffic accident on Highway 15, south of Stoddard Wells Road, left a woman severely injured on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center due to the severity of her injuries.
The incident occurred when a white Chevy Malibu with Arizona plates veered off the highway and rolled down an embankment on the right shoulder. Such accidents on Highway 15 are unfortunately common and often involve vehicles leaving the roadway, leading to high-risk situations.
Emergency personnel arrived quickly at the scene. Upon arrival, they found the driver trapped inside the vehicle, which was severely damaged due to the impact and the descent down the embankment.
Firefighters from the Victorville City Fire Department played a crucial role at the accident scene. They assessed the situation and, due to the severity of the woman’s injuries, requested a helicopter for her immediate transport to an out-of-area trauma center.
