(Wheatland, CA) The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a fatal hit-and-run accident near the Hard Rock in Sacramento. They urge anyone with relevant information about the accident to come forward immediately and assist with the investigation.
According to a CHP accident report, a man was killed last Saturday on Highway 65.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was struck by a vehicle early Friday morning, possibly a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu or a newer model. The driver fled the scene, leaving the victim lying on the ground.
The victim’s body was discovered by authorities the following morning around 10:40 a.m. on the east shoulder of Forty Mile Road, just south of Highway 65.
Authorities are investigating the accident and ask anyone with relevant information to contact Officer Harbour or Officer Quigley at 530-645-6200.
