Driver Hospitalized After Collision with Police Vehicle in Bakersfield

(Bakersfield, CA) – A driver was hospitalized for treatment after colliding with a police vehicle on Sunday in southwest Bakersfield, according to authorities.

The accident occurred around 12:43 p.m. on Sunday on New Stine Street near Sundale Avenue. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a police officer was driving their patrol vehicle northbound on New Stine Street when another vehicle made an unsafe lane change and collided with the police vehicle.
