1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured After Fresno Accident

Fresno County, California – A tragic accident has rocked Fresno County, leaving one man dead and a woman fighting for her life in the hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The tragedy occurred at the intersection of Buttonwillow and Parlier Avenues in Fresno County, around 3:30 p.m., when a northbound Ford truck collided violently with an eastbound Ford Focus that had a stop sign.

According to officials, a preliminary investigation reveals that the Ford Focus failed to stop at the intersection, causing the collision with the truck on the passenger side, causing the latter to come to a stop at the northeast corner of the intersection.

Tragically, the male passenger traveling in the Ford Focus did not survive the impact. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford Focus was rushed to the hospital, where she is in critical condition. The driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, emerged unscathed from the accident and did not sustain any injuries.

At this time, authorities have ruled out alcohol and/or drugs as possible factors in the Fresno accident. However, the investigation is still ongoing to determine the exact causes of the tragic incident.

This accident serves as a reminder of the importance of obeying traffic signals and driving cautiously at all times.
