Visalia, California – A 17-year-old teenager lost her life after being struck by a car in Visalia on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Officers responded immediately to the scene of the collision, which occurred on Riggin Avenue near Shirk Street around 8:50 p.m.
Police investigation revealed that the young girl was riding her bicycle in the eastbound lane of Riggin Avenue when she was brutally hit by a car.
Following the impact, the teenager was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, sadly succumbing to her injuries later on.
Despite the tragedy, the involved driver remained at the scene and is actively cooperating with investigators to clarify the details of the incident.
