Preliminary investigations indicate that two individuals from San Francisco were traveling in the northbound SUV on I-5 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with the tanker truck trailer in the second lane.
In a desperate attempt to regain control, the SUV driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to come to a stop on the right side of the road. Following the impact, the SUV became engulfed in flames, further complicating the situation.
