Collision in Granite Bay Claims Life of Motorcyclist

(Placer County, CA) A motorcyclist died on Monday afternoon after colliding at high speed with an SUV on Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident was reported around 2:45 p.m. along Douglas Boulevard and Berg Street when witnesses reported a fatal collision between a motorcyclist and an SUV.

Witnesses claim that the driver of a red and white Honda was traveling at more than 85 mph when he hit a Toyota Rav4 that was making a U-turn, causing the motorcyclist to be thrown off the road and die instantly from the impact.

The driver of the Toyota suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for recovery. The authorities identified the victim as a 22-year-old man from Roseville. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends.
