(Bakersfield, CA) One person died in an accident involving a pickup truck and two motorcycles on Rosedale Highway northwest of Bakersfield.
The accident was reported around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Jet Way and Rosedale Highway, according to Bakersfield Police reports. Authorities reported that two motorcyclists were traveling south, very close to each other, to attempt to turn onto Jet Way from Rosedale Highway towards the west, when a pickup truck traveling east on Rosedale Highway collided with both motorcyclists.
One of the drivers died at the scene, while the other suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The pickup truck driver did not report any injuries and cooperated with the investigation.
