Fatal Car Accident Kern County

Early Sunday morning, tragedy struck on Highway 99 north of Highway 166 when a speeding 2003 Nissan Sentra careened off the road and overturned onto its roof. According to the California Highway Patrol, this fatal car accident was caused by dangerous driving habits.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders immediately declared the female driver to be deceased. Her passenger, Terrell Williams (38) of Bakersfield, was transported to Kern Medical with minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol reported that neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a safety belt when the accident happened. They are also probing to determine if drugs or alcohol played any role in this incident.
