San Diego County, California – An 11-year-old girl tragically lost her life in a collision in San Diego over the past weekend. The accident involved two vehicles, with the young girl traveling in a Honda, apparently with her family.
The fateful incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 79 southbound and State Route 76 eastbound, as announced by California Highway Patrol Officer Jared Grieshaber in a press release issued on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
The impact of the crash claimed the life of a young 11-year-old passenger who was traveling in a Honda. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old driver, along with her passengers aged 16 and 34, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, reported the California Highway Patrol. As for the driver of the Ford involved, a 53-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and received medical attention at the scene of the accident.
Authorities leading the investigation have ruled out the influence of substances in the accident, stating that they do not believe driving under such influence was a determining factor in the collision.
