Fountain Valley Collision Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

[Fountain Valley, CA] A fatal car accident occurred in Fountain Valley on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old man. The crash also left another driver seriously injured and required police intervention.

The accident happened at the intersection of Euclid Street and Slater Avenue at approximately 4:52 p.m. on February 25. Fountain Valley Police Department stated that a 51-year-old man from Costa Mesa was driving a white 2022 Toyota Camry northbound on Euclid when he collided with a 2008 Dodge Caravan that was making a left turn from southbound Euclid onto Slater.

The impact of the collision caused the Camry to burst into flames, trapping the driver inside. He had to be extricated from the car before being transported to the hospital with significant injuries. The 55-year-old driver of the Dodge, whose name has not yet been released to the public, unfortunately, died at the scene of the accident.
