Man Crashes Car into House in Orange County and Pursues Occupants with a Pickaxe

(Orange County, CA) Residents of Lake Forest consider themselves fortunate to have escaped unharmed during a terrifying attack by a temporary resident who seemed to have gone mad under suspicion of drug use.

A man crashed his car into the house he was staying in Orange County and proceeded to chase his roommates with an axe in an apparent attempt to till the soil. The man, who had presumably suffered a head injury in the crash, rushed to the entrance to force the door open. Home security footage captures the moment he breaches the entrance and proceeds to grab the axe to attack his roommate.

Not only did the man chase his roommates, but he also pursued a nearby neighbor who heard the screams.

Eric Li, the homeowner, and roommate, mentioned to the media that his friend seemed deranged and started chasing him. He explained that his parents maintain a garden with plenty of tools, and the man likely grabbed the pickaxe from their farming equipment.

“I thought I was a dead man,” Li said to the media. He managed to escape and crossed the street to call 911. While being pursued, he witnessed his roommate chasing neighbors who had heard the commotion and were approaching to help.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department officers used non-lethal force to subdue the man, who was then transported to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.

The factors behind the man’s erratic actions are currently unknown, and authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause. They urge anyone with relevant information to come forward immediately.
