(Bakersfield, CA) A hit-and-run accident in Bakersfield claimed the life of a pedestrian on Sunday afternoon. The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking witnesses who can assist with the investigation.
According to a report from the BPD, a man was reported lying on the ground around 2:20 p.m. in the 400 block of Brundage Lane near U Street. Upon arrival, authorities noted the man’s severe injuries and, alongside Hall ambulance paramedics, tried to save his life. Unfortunately, he died at the scene.
Initial investigations indicate that the man, who has not been identified, was crossing the street outside the crosswalk when he was struck. The driver fled the scene.
