(Santa Barbara County, CA) Authorities in Santa Barbara County have confirmed the death of one person in a car accident on Highway 135 in Orcutt. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman who was traveling in the car with which it collided was taken to a local hospital.
According to reports from Santa Barbara County authorities, the accident occurred on Monday around 6:49 p.m. near the south of Clark Avenue and the off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling in the wrong direction on Highway 135 when it collided with another vehicle.
Officers responded to the call and moved both vehicles to the side of the road while clearing debris from the accident. It is currently unknown if alcohol or drugs were a significant factor in the cause of the accident.
