Traffic Accident in Fresno: 2 Injured Due to Failure to Yield

Fresno, California – Two people were injured in a traffic accident in northeast Fresno when a driver failed to yield.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the intersection of Barstow Avenue and 4th Street. Police were called to the scene due to a multi-vehicle collision. 

According to investigators, the driver involved did not yield to two cars traveling east on Barstow Avenue, causing the crash.

The impact of the accident sent one of the three involved cars into a building at the Wesley United Methodist Church. The church reported that a group of women had gathered that morning, but fortunately, none of them were injured.

Members of the Wesley United Methodist Church have expressed concern about the frequency of accidents in the area. Paige Addington, a representative of the church, recalled previous incidents, including the tragic death of a Hoover High School student four years ago and another recent accident where a truck crashed into a nearby tree.

Two of the drivers were injured in the accident, while a third driver was unharmed. Authorities have not yet disclosed the current condition of the injured drivers. This traffic accident in Fresno highlights the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic rules to prevent tragedies in our communities.
