Los Angeles, California – Two members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were hospitalized after a traffic incident involving three vehicles, including a UPS truck, on Tuesday afternoon in Hacienda Heights.
The collision occurred just before 4 p.m. near Turnbull Canyon Road and East Poplar Avenue, as confirmed by LASD officials.
Despite the circumstances, officers reported that all parties involved suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The other two drivers, though complaining of pain, did not require hospitalization. According to information provided by LASD, the agents were en route to an investigation related to hazardous materials at a nearby post office in the city of Industry. The evacuation of office workers was carried out after receiving a suspicious package.
The incident occurred when another vehicle obstructed the path of the agents’ patrol car. It’s worth noting that, at the time of the Hacienda Heights accident, the LASD vehicle did not activate emergency features such as lights and sirens.
